There is no question that at 18 years of age, Raiatea Helm set the Hawaiian music community on fire with her pure, clear voice and the release of her debut CD "Far Away Heaven." Within days of the release, she was already being heralded as the successor to such greats as Aunty Genoa Keawe and Amy Hanaiali'i Gilliom. She is a natural performer of leo ki'eki'e (falsetto), and that the talent has prompted successfully established artists to support her on her recordings and in performances. "Sweet & Lovely" is a reflection of her electrifying youth and developing musical mysitc. It's a prophetic kuleana (responsibility) to perpetuate her Hawaiian heritage; makana (gift) to her kupuna (elders) and her endearing love for her generation.
